Today's faster, high-tech fiberglass Alaskan was introduced in 1997 as the "Grand Alaskan".

The new Alaskan's are traditionally styled yachts built in Taiwan factories in various lengths and styles from 53 to 80 feet in length with new designs up to 100 feet planned.
